In person couples therapy in Federal Heights designed to transform your relationship.
Whether you're facing conflict, feeling disconnected, or simply want to deepen your bond, I’m here to help you make real, lasting change.
Let’s look at the research! Research from the Gottman Institute identifies 4 behaviors that if present in a relationship can predict relationship dissatisfaction and even separation or divorce. If any of these 4 behaviors are present in your relationship, it’s likely a good time to get support.

How do I know if we need couples therapy?
What to expect in Gottman & RLT couples therapy
Seeking marriage counseling in the Denver area can be overwhelming, but I can help. In our work together, I create a balanced space where both partners feel safe, respected, and seen. I aim to help you understand your patterns, so you can make real, lasting change.
I have training in the Gottman method and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). Both of these couple-focused modalities are research-based and highly effective. RLT focuses on providing transformative change with a quick turnaround.

Our first session together will be 90 minutes. The extra time allows us to dive into not only the present issues but your relationship history. One of my goals for our first session is to get a deeper understanding for what’s happening in your relationship cycle so I can help you understand our areas of focus and the path forward.
After our first session, I will have you complete some additional assessments to gather more information and inform our priorities as we work together.

The classic therapist answer is “it depends.” The timeframe for how much therapy you may need depends on what you are experiencing, how you respond to treatment, and if you are able to commit to practicing what you learn in between sessions. My aim is to set you up for success so that you have the skillset necessary to handle conflict confidently on your own.

I have advanced training in the Gottman method (including training in trauma & affairs) which is one of the most evidence based approaches for couples therapy. I am also trained in Relational Life Therapy (RLT) for couples. Throughout my career I have been trained by some of the most experienced and educated couples therapists which also adds to my experience.

I charge $185 per session for couples therapy. Unfortunately, most insurance companies will not cover couples therapy.

I am trained in Relational Life Therapy (RLT) for couples which emphasizes that not all relationship problems are 50/50. Each partner has their ways they may contribute to unhealthy dynamics and if we stay neutral, it may keep you stuck. To address this, we use “care-frontation” which is an empathetic and kind but direct way to explore how each partner may be contributing to unhealthy cycles.
